Prior to entering a beetle colony, a specimen must have the eyeballs, brain and
jaw removed. We offer this service at the prices listed in the “Prep Fee”
column. One item to note is that the typical preference of our customers is to
have the jaw bleached in addition to the skull if the specimen is a carnivore.
Herbivores typically do not have the lower jaw cleaned however we will do this
if requested and there may be an additional charge. If the specimen you want
done is not listed in the price list below, please call us to inquire about
pricing.
All specimens are done on a first come first serve basis. All prices

**Although we do provide skinning services, we do so with the
intent that we are extracting the skull for the sole purpose of doing a European
Mount. We make no guarantees that a hide will be useable when we are finished
with the skull extraction. We recommend that if you want to do anything with
the hide such as tanning or curing etc; that you take it to your taxidermist of
choice for skull extraction.
We do offer custom plaques at an additional charge and we will mount your specimen to a plaque for an additional fee. Contact us for details.
Warning: Any specimens not picked up within 30 days of notice of completion of work will be considered abandoned and will become the property of Bare Bones European Mounting.
PAYMENT INFORMATION
We accept PayPal, cashiers checks and cash. A deposit equal to half of your Invoice amount is expected at the time the specimen is dropped off. The other half is due upon pickup.
